Children's flamenco

In the children's Flamenco classes for boys and girls, the basic structure of Flamenco dance will be learned in a fun way.

In flamenco, dance, singing and guitar merge into a single artistic expression. The bailaora or bailaor interprets the feelings that the cantaor or cantaora expresses in the cante. The dancer or dancer becomes a musician too. Each cante or flamenco style has its own universe, texture, feeling and rhythm.

The bailaor or bailaora creates her dance according to these characteristics of cante. Instead, the dancer uses the basic structure of flamenco dance in a traditional way or in her own way. This structure allows the three elements of flamenco art to merge in harmony.

Flamenco is an art that expresses deep feelings. It was born as an expression of marginalized groups. Pain, loneliness, anguish, despair, love, lack of love, passion and joy are central themes in flamenco. The cante jondo or the great songs express painful and deep feelings. Party songs express joy, sensuality and passion.

But no matter the feeling expressed by each flamenco dance or style, there is always a common emotional element in all of them.

Flamenco is a unique expression, based on three pillars: cante, guitar and dance. It is a live music and full of feeling. Little by little, new steps will be introduced, every body movement and skill will be taught. Flamenco is the sign of Spanish identity, it has been transmitted from generation to generation and has dynasties of artists.
