¿What is the Tap Dance?

Tap dancing is a style of dance in which a dancer uses their provided shoes to perform blows with the heel and toes. In the tap dance, wooden floors are used to the ass, you have to beat the wooden floor rhythmically and focus on the musicality.

The sound is made by tap shoes that have metal plates on the heel and toe. There are several important variations on tap dancing including: flamenco, rhythm (jazz), classical, broadway, and postmodern. The tap dance has its roots in the English theater tradition and often focuses on less complex formations, choreography, and generally rhythms.

In advanced tap dance classes the basic steps are often combined to create new steps. Many steps also have single, double, and triple versions, which include setbacks, temporary steps, and snags. Time steps are widely used and can vary in different areas, these consist of a rhythm that is changed to make new time steps by adding or removing steps.

In group dances, the steps are usually simple and easy to control. The group of dancers must work together to create the sound, keeping their steps at the correct speed to match.

In classics, dancers practice a series of basic steps, adding more difficult combinations as they go along.

Tap shoes are available in several different styles. The most popular colors for tap shoes are black, white, and beige.
