Ballet Master: Lazaro Carreño
Lázaro Carreño is a great ballet teacher with a recognized international career. He has taught training and master classes in some of the most prestigious companies in the world, including the American Ballet Theatre, Royal Ballet, Houston Ballet Theatre, National Dance Company and Corella Ballet.
He initially trained at the National School of Art of Cuba and later obtained a scholarship to continue his training at the prestigious Agropina Vaganova Choreographic School in St. Petersburg, where he delved into the Vaganova method, one of the most important bases of Russian classical ballet.
He was the First Dancer of the National Ballet of Cuba, where he played the main roles of the classical and contemporary repertoire, touring the five continents and receiving international recognition for his interpretation and technique.
Throughout his career he has been a guest artist in important international companies and festivals, consolidating a solid reputation in the field of classical dance. Especially noteworthy is his work as a partner of Alicia Alonso, with whom he performed emblematic works such as El Torero de Carmen, Dido Abandonada, Roberto el Diablo and Cleopatra.
His extensive artistic and pedagogical experience, along with the solid training received in Cuba and at the prestigious Vaganova School in St. Petersburg, where he deepened the renowned Vaganova method, have made him an international reference figure in the teaching of classical ballet, uniting the excellence of the Cuban and Russian schools in their training work.

He began his professional career in the Italian production "La última Danza di Federico Secondo" and continued in the Contemporary Classical Ballet Company of Madrid, where he interprets classical and contemporary repertoire such as El Nutcracker, Carmen and El Fauno, evolving into solo roles.
He has performed as a guest dancer at high-level events, including a private gala for Queen Letizia of Spain, in addition to international collaborations such as Spazio DanzaItalia and Claudio Maganini's company in Italy, performing works such as Don Quixote and Spartacus.
He also participates in prestigious productions such as El Corsario at the Teatro Real de Madrid together with the company of Ángel Corella López.
